About: Aurora Izquierdo was one of the first women of her generation to leave the indigenous Arhuaco community of Santa Marta in pursuit of higher education. She came back and founded the Association of Indigenous Agroecology Producers, who is responsible for growing this beautiful coffee. The cherries were pulped in hand-cranked machines and beans were washed, fermented for approximately 18 hours and then dried on raised beds, in the sun and in small solar greenhouses. Along side its exquisite taste this coffee is certified Fair Trade and Organic.
(We roast every Thursday, and orders are shipped out Friday morning.)
